Kathryn Carrier
Katy Carrier is the founding attorney and principal of Carrier & Associates, a boutique law practice catering to wedding and event professionals and other creative businesses.
A serial entrepreneur, Katy has launched a number of creative business endeavors, and founded Carrier & Associates on the premise that creative business owners can benefit greatly from specialized legal services. Katy is a graduate of Tulane University Law School in New Orleans, Louisiana, and earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism and graphic design from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Prior to starting Carrier & Associates, Katy worked as an associate attorney in the areas of business/transactional law, civil litigation, international law and intellectual property, and also as a litigation consultant for a number of large law firms for corporate, intellectual property and antitrust matters.
Since the launch of Carrier & Associates and her blog, The Law for Creatives, Katy has become a frequent speaker at event industry conferences and organizations.
